Getting the best energy supply deals for Community Halls,

village shops and other local businesses

If you run a Community Hall, Parish Office or a local shop, energy bills will be a big worry.

The "big 6" energy suppliers have all announced big increases in energy prices so you need to make sure you have the best deal you can get. The suppliers treat charities and community organisations as "businesses" so it is not worth looking at the well known price comparison websites as they specialise in helping domestic customers.

Because we want to help members and other rural services keep their costs as low as possible, Action with Communities in Rural Kent has teamed up with the independent company "Make it Cheaper" who specialise in getting the best deals for "businesses".

Download a "Letter of Authority" here which should be signed and faxed to "Make It Cheaper" together with copies of your most recent energy bills. This will authorise "Make It Cheaper" to seek out the best deals on your behalf. There is no obligation on you to accept any deals they may find. (If you don't have the facility to fax these documents they can be posted to us for faxing.)

You can telephone Make It Cheaper on our dedicated number - 0800 021 3221.

Jonathan Elliot, MD of "Make It Cheaper" has written an article explaining how to keep on top of your supply contracts and while the article specifically refers to Community Halls, his advice applies equally to other businesses. Download a copy here.
