The Rural Community Council For Kent and Medway
Guikd
The Hallmark scheme was launched by ACRE on 30 March 2007. It promotes the delivery of effective and well-managed village halls through a quality standards scheme which is backed up by a system of peer visitors. The trained peer visitors use a system of checklists to identify performance and provide an external validation of achievement.
Hallmark accreditation has several benefits:
There are 3 hallmarks to achieve:
Hallmark Level 1 focuses on the management and administration of the charity
Hallmark Level 2 focuses on the health, safety, licences and risk assessments
Hallmark Level 3 focuses on community and social awareness, communications, forward planning and development

Entry to the Hallmark Award scheme is free and available to all members of Action with Communities in Rural Kent. Contact us either by telephone on 01303 813790 or email info@ruralkent.org.uk
When you apply, we will send you a check list for your committee to look through. When you think you have achieved everything on the list, send the check list back to us and we will arrange for two of our visitors to come and talk with you about the check list.
Once approved, you will receive a certificate for your hall which lasts three years,
at the end of which you can apply to renew it at a cost of £20.00. You can also work towards Hallmark 2 and 3.
